For sale Chrome carlton frame , forks and headset.

frame is a bit rusty in places but i think it would clean up a bit given some effort.

there was a small scrack on one of the rear wheel stays which i had brazed at a local garage - functional and not too ugly.

rear stays arnt totally straight but it rode fine when i got it.

Stripped it down and left it in bits. Third baby and need for space forces garage clear out.

make a nice pub bike

aaaarrrrgh....Carlton Cobra was my first proper bike and that was fully chromed with sprayed lugs/bottom bracket....

Must resist until tomorrow .....

This looks wonderful, any idea on the tubing? Is it 531?
Also, is that a green fork, or just a trick of the light?

please stop the positive comments, i'll be too easily tempted to keep it.

not sure about tubing - not 531 i doubt - somebody on here will probable know.

the top of the fork is green yes. not a great paint job, assume not original.

I never really got to the borttom of what madel it was but Cobra seemed most likely. If anyones keen i'll email them some more photos - but you cant really go to far wrong for £20 can you?

I have got most of the bites that came off it if anyone wants something a bit closer to a bike. they are a bit deeper in the garage and were going to come up for sale in due course - will happily drag them forward if anyone wants.

Old frames had the hanger on a seperate plate attached to the rear wheel axle.

Carlton Cobra indeed but not 531 it was "truwell" tubing - whatever that was.
Ive got a perfect example of one and its a beauty.

30 odd years ago the rear mech's had a plate which attached to the ropout with a seperate screw which kept it in place......

as above, the rear mech fits on to a hanging plate -i'll include the plate and the heret rear mech and the fornt mech (not sure what but nothing special) in for the price if some one will help it leave my garage this weekend!!
