Chromag Samurai 65.

Re: New bike time wooohooooo! DeKerf built Chromag Samurai 65.

Seat tube is 19.5" with an effective top tube of 24.35". Frame is designed around a 130-150mm fork. I have a 140mm fork for it. Probably going to take a few weeks to get it up and built despite having everything sat there. Time being the constraining factor.

I have been looking at this myself. I'll just grab a chair and lean back

What happened to this one?

Re:

Still got it. Its got a 1x11 drivetrain now and a 1.5 degree angleset. Forks are due back from Flotec fairly soon after a full service. Just ready for a thrashing over the winter. Was going to sell it for a while there but after getting a bit anal with the cleaning of it and seeing how good it looks i dont think i can bring myself to do it  :D

Turns out i was wrong with who built it as well. Its Mike Truelove that builds the Samurais and Primers. Chris builds the Chromag Surface but everything Canadian built gets painted in his shop.

Would love to see some pics :)

I’ve just started putting mine together today

Is it a new new one you've gone for? I was looking at a yellow Rootdown for a while there but realistically I've only just got mine the way I want it and it has some nice scarring now as well.

Would be good to see some pictures as surely you've finished building it by now....

Nice 8)

Mine’s an older one, mid to late 2000’s, with 26” wheels. Also built by Mike Truelove. I still need quite a few parts to finish it and I’m on a deadline for a trip to Wales!

Sending you a PM later, for advice, if you don’t mind.

How are you chaps enjoying these puppies?
There is an absence of Mapleleaf in my shed just begging to be filled...

Hi Nick, I’ve only just finished building mine up. I bought it to replace the Implant, which was just a tad too big. It’s not 100% as I want it yet but I had great fun on its maiden voyage at Bikepark Wales. Had a couple of short local rides on it since and I love it.
