Chris King Ti Spoke Wheelset (road) SOLD!!

Peperbek

Dirt Disciple
In 1999 I had a wheelset build with Chris King road hubs, Rainbow coloured Union Ti Dye Spokes and Velocity Rims.
Because this was a spare set I have never used it a lot. Look for the barely used rim and super condition of the hubs and body.
Because I have to many wheels and to little space these are now for offer for 250 GBP to give your racer the angry bee sound. (or you can make it your very nice lite 29er V-brake/Canti wheelset; just purchase a spare 135mm rear axlespacer ,costs only a few quid, from King, exchange this for the 130 mm in the rearwheel, respoke the rearwheel a but and your good to go. I used these Velocity rims also for some lightweight wheelsets)
I tried to take a picture of the colour of the spokes but it's a bit difficult to get it right. Nonetheless, they are beautifull. Those who know them will agree.
As a extra I'm giving away a pair of spare red powder coated Velocity rims to use a spare rim for these wheels or just to make it even more colourfull

Nice

- do you know how much they weigh?

- is the price posted to the UK?

- do you know if the Velocity rims are the same-ish dimensions as Mavics (would like to relace them to ceramic rims once those die). Oh and what is the spoke count please

Cheers

Both front and rearhub are 32H
Rear hubbody is Shimano
I think that Mavics have a bit higher ERD than Velocity's. Also the wheels are built up with 14mm nipples (god, what a nice word) so I guess that lacing them with Mavic Open Pro Ceramics will get tricky.
Price for posted to both UK and Finland will be about 15 GBP.
Don't know the weight of the weels actually, cause I never weigh anything. But they feel very light. Velocity's are light (400gr front and 415gr rear) and strong rims, the Ti spokes are very very light and the King hubs weigh 112gr front and 264gr rear.
