Hi all,

Looking for a CK headset in 1 & 1/8 and was wondering if anyone knew where the least expensive place to get one from was if buying new!

Seen them as low as £100 but was wondering how low I can go!!!

Cheers all

eBay, but be careful of fakes. Good used is the cheapest option, what colour are you after!

Thanks for the reply.

Have had a mooch on eBay but no joy and I've put my own new Pewter SV up for a swap but again no joy.

After a red one, prefer SV but would use a normal one but I really want a new one as it's going on a new new build. I'm finding the cost of used examples is getting a bit too much and for the cost difference I'd rather get a new one.

Re:

Noticed the price of new has shot up on these :x £99 a year ago and now ~ £135 ea

Nice 1in Ti one for sale for £300 on UBYK for the real poseur.

Being honest I haven't looked at the price of new CK h/s for quite a while but they do seem to have gotten a bit more expensive than they used to be hence the post here.

Not surprised someone is asking £300 for a Ti version, new from CK they are $308 or around £250 then add shipping, insurance, customs, VAT, customs clearance charges and crappy exchange rates for foreign currency purchases and you'd be well over that so £300 might be saving you money compared to getting a new one from CK now!

There are many reasons why the costs of things rise, just seems the norm nowadays and with the drop in the value of £ the cost of things seem set to get even more expensive!

Whilst it isn't pocket change if I have to cough up the cash, well I have to accept I just have to but if I can save a few quid it would make things just a bit better for the wallet!!!

Re:

Well, bit the bullet and got a new one.

Wanted a red version and Hargroves had them at just under £100 so that's were I got it from!

Not sure though if it is the classic or SV so I'll be a surprise when it arrives!
