Dirt Disciple
Hey guys I uploaded a couple of pics of my new/old project today for some advice on getting some rust off it, but have been told it could be a checker pig frame I have no idea myself I brought the frame new in about 95 an paid about £200 for it from my local giant shop in Oxford. I've done a bit of research since being told this but can't really find much on line has anyone else got any ideas about it. Thanks in advance seph.

Re:

That down-tube is cool 8)
I remember the Checker Pig name from way back, I think Tange did a fluted tubing that was used in the 90's, but yours looks like more spiral to me?

whatever it is, it's pretty interesting!

Re:

Topic kick.

I have bought A Checker Pig CPX 4070 "expert" with such a spiral frame recently.

In the original paint, with all the original parts (except the tires) :D

If it is a Checker Pig frame it should be debossed in the front of the seat post clamp.

There is not much to find about these bikes and since CP has been tanken over once or twice they cannot shine a light on it either.

If you have more info, or might want more info, let me know.
