Cheapest disc conversion on steel frame?

I've got a 22" GT Palomar and want to get a disc mount brazed on the rear. Anybody had one done? cost? Any recommended in Sheffield area?

Instead of a braze on I've got an A2Z disc mount adapter which'll fit on most frames with flat dropouts. These are pretty cheap and work fine as long as not using monster rotors. Worth a look ?

I used Argos for the one on my Caldera they made it look as though it was factory done.

IIRC it was £50 for the labour, £10 for the tab and £10 if I wanted a brace which they were happy for me not to have if I didn't want one.

Quite unobtrusive regarding paint damage.

I am sure Bob Jacksons are your way?

Mine for reference :-)

Chaser is the same as the one I got from Super Cycles in Nottingham years ago. Was probably DDG branded from them.

Not exactly the same but a similar principal:

Have heard bad things about the stress it can put on the canti stud. But then again there are always stories about everything
