I have thought about treating myself to some of the sun glasses but am still working my way through the funky high strength olive oils. I must admit they take a bit of getting used to
EDIT - I'm strangely drawn towards the socks but keep having to tell myself "STOP, move the finger away from the keyboard. What on earth would you do with a box of assorted socks? Now go take a swig of oil and move along"

I’ve been a bit asleep at the wheel this week. Shame on me. Fully in my own little bubble, pottering about. Meanwhile, some of you know we’ve been deep into projects in Java and across Indonesia – reclaimed and salvaged timbers, coffee, Badui oil, all sorts of mad, brilliant stuff. It’s a real passion project. The people are kind, warm, humble, funny. The good ones stick with you.
Anyway… two days ago I checked the Indonesian news.
A third of Sumatra is underwater. Proper disaster.
Then Wira – my partner over there, and basically the beating heart of all we do – gives me a nudge:
“We, the Semarang Wood Factory Association, have already sent two trucks of medicines and two trucks of instant food. I haven’t seen anything from Jepara. Maybe we could be the first there.”
Then last night, more of a kick than a nudge:
“This is the right time for the Wild Root Foundation to take action. North Sumatra, West Sumatra and Aceh are severely damaged.
Would you like to participate?
What assistance can you provide?
They need medicine, food and we must also focus on replanting damaged land with new tree seedlings. Any ideas?”
So. Time to get out of my bubble.
