Used to use them quite a bit, and they had a rep. for fast shipping etc. Mentioned to a pal today that I was waiting on a part (okay, only ordered Thursday but they used to literally get stuff out next day and Nik from here managed nextday delivery on a chain) and he also mentioned that things were slowing up...anyone else notice this?
Prices can be a bit :shock: too, but they are small and indy so I forgive them for that.

Charlie is a good guy and as you say is an independent one man band. Sometimes when you are running the show singlehanded you get a little behind, dog tired or simply say 'feck it' and have a few days off. You can't expect CRC levels of service really. Charlie does like his riding and might be making the most of the fag end of summer and getting out on the trails whilst they are still dry. There is always a huge increase in demand for SS gear at this time of year as people prep their winter hacks and put away the gears for another year.
Another factor could be the mail which has been exceptionally crap this last few weeks. Whatever the reason, it's too early to cry foul and get flustered. I'm sure it will work out fine.

Agree Si..but, and I have to put my retail head on now...don't over promise and under deliver. His web-site says same day dispatch etc ...and in the past it felt like that.

You say something was ordered on Thursday? thats only a few working days ago- remember Royal Mail are a factor here. A little harsh no?
I'm a one man band and try and keep my promises too- I worked 6am Monday through to 2am Tuesday this week to keep a promise. I failed despite trying my hardest. Shit happens. I just think you should cut him a little slack here.

Okay...lets roll back a bit. I like Charlie and Michelle...I will buy from them and have done for a while although not much recently, but when I have done recently the service wasn't quite like it used to be...that was my comment.

My half-link was rec'd today (Wednesday) after an order was placed on Thursday. Sure, I except maybe they have bigger fish to fry, maybe the PO was slow (not according to the stamp) ya de ya de ya....
Maybe the business is too big to offer the old service I guess...time to remove this from the shipping details?

POSTAGE: Sameday despatch unless otherwise stated. I will cycle orders to the post office in the rain to catch last post. That's one reason why I have thousands of happy customers.
