Chainstay protection

i found a strip of leather on ebay that had a carbon look. works well looks good too, so i now save up old bits of leather and make my own.

Old inner tube works great. Plus you're recycling (no pun intended) and it cuts down on chain slap.

I use a clear protective tape fo this and on the frame. we use it at the shop to face cricket bats and protect hockey sticks. about 2mm thick and cuts and bends easily. cheap to replace too.

if anyone wants any then give me a shout and i'll send some over.

Looks indeed quite good on more Hard Core orientated bikes.

Only if the tyre used to wrap the chainstay matches those on the bikes wheels.
