Fablon, Cheap, clear, and when it gets a bit tatty it comes off without leaving a messy residue, ready for the next strip.

I'll tell you what NOT to use then. For my Kona Hei Hei project I decided on Pace Carbon Fibre protection, and the Pace chainstay protector looked great in the packet. It also looked good for about 30 seconds on the bike before the sticky stuff could not hold it any longer and it lifted at all edges back to its flat shape. rubbish.

I use an Mart carbon stick on jobby, pretty cheap, light and so far un marked, Its a shaped ridgid type not tape. I havent seen any for a while now and could do with another 2 for my other bikes.
