I'm looking for a few chain rings to complete some chain sets.
First up is a set of m952 in nos condition. I have a nos outer and inner in 110bcd but struggling to find the elusive middle.
My struggle has me looking at alternatives and road compact is 110bcd. Obviously designed for 2x so wondering if using an inner road compact ring would work. Yes it will fit, but as it's not designed to shift to a granny ring, will shifting be awful or not? Road compact triple a thing? The Shimano ring for the m952cwas ramped and pinned of course so shifting is sided by such wizardry.
What options have people found there work and would not look out of place flanked by the proper Shimano rings!
Next one, 104bcd. Yes, plentiful but most things these days are narrow wide so what's out there from a shifting perspective that are good rings for shifting, life and looks?
