Chain tools

What kind do you use? I break them like crazy. Having just broken a brand new one in two places on it's first use (it was from Clas Ohlson so probably serves me right), I'm starting to think I should spend some money on a decent one. Any recommendations on what to buy? Are the more expensive Park ones worth it?

I broke a chain tool that I'd previously used on a Suzuki Bandit 1200 trying to break an MTB chain.

The one in the LIDL bike tool kit has done 3 or 4 now and it's not shown any signs of weakness.

I broke a few, the park one I have seems good, and of course, my cool tool is still going strong... Best thing I ever bought!

My Shimano chain tool is still going strong after much abuse.

My Park one is also going strong but this is probably due to me prefering the Shimano tool.

The Park Tool also doesn't work with half link chains.

I use park chain brute, had it for yonks 8) [like all my park tools *advert* ]

I think with all of them you have to take note of what your doing and check to see the pin is lined up properly :?
Not saying you're being heavy handed ,but are you?

Haha, yes, I am. I'm very heavy handed, hot headed and impatient, so you're probably right that it's as much me as the tools.
