I noticed chain rings have diffrent amounts of teeth now does this make a diffrence with what they work with ie type of derailieurs bifters etc now i am not riding in anger so i hopeing it doesnt matter as long as they fit the crank 110 etc thanks

It can matter in terms of ratio. You wouldn't want a 48t outer with a low tooth count middle as the jump would be nasty. In terms of fit, a 110 BCD ring will fit a 110bcd spider, 5 arm of course as there is now a 4 arm 110bcd and even differences in that masking them incompatible with each other.

Cheers mate i made sure i had the right 5 holes for my cranks but not the teeth i have to count mine and go from there any ideas on what would make it nasty from the 3 rings the amount you wouldnt go below like 48 for the top and 30 for middle and 20 for granny example like a drop of 15 teeth from each ring if that makes sense cheers

20 to 30 is ok imo. 30 to 48 is bit of a jump. It may work, I've never tried. It may also look a bit weird but if it works for you and shifting isn't bad then it's fine.

You won't know until you try but equally someone may be along who knows more then me, which would not be difficult ;)

Cheers there were just made up numbers it was more to know the max you can go down so hopefuly the ones i have work (dont know the amount of teeth on any of mine) it never crossed my mine when i been buying them thanks for the info mate

Chat GPT and the manuals of the rear derailleurs will teach you everything you need to know about teeth, matching length of derailleur cages etc.
