Chain Question

Quick chain question.

Will this KMC X9L chain work OK with a 7 speed setup .............. a suntour 7 speed setup :?:

I take it it is a 9 spd chain , if it is the case it wont work well with a 7 spd set up .

9 spd chain are narrower than 7 and 8 spd .

I have run that chain on an 8 speed set-up with no problems...dunno about 7 speed though...guess that makes my reply pointless :?

have been running an 8 speed on a 7 block on the trimble and it works just fine, wasn't sure bout the 9-7 though, just wondered if anyone else had tried it yet ?

replies arn't pointless fella,

for a work bike I could cope with a not so smooth gear change as running a 7 spd HG91, just needs to look cool
