Chain for 6 speed

Hi All,
I need to get a chain but am confused by the choices so I hope you can help.
I'll be running a 12 speed 2x6 set-up with a 1970s six speed block. It isn't clear what chains that are available will match this. I've seen some advertised as 6/7/8 speed. Does this mean that any 7or 8 speed chain will be Ok? Mainly my concern is to find something that I like the look of and the choice is a bit limited if I just look at stuff that says if is for 6 speed.
Recommendations also welcome for nice looking gold or chrome chains!
Cheers.

Personal recommendation for a nice shiny chain that'll suit:

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wippermann-intr ... eed-chain/

I'm a big fan of Wippermann products, plus Wiggle seem to have this one on special offer. It's a bit wider than all the 8+ speed chains on the market, so after-market "quick links" like Wippermann's own Connex or the Sachs/SRAM Powerlink won't fit it. Instead you're stuck with the Wippermann snap-on link which is really a "use once only" fitting.

Shimano CN-UG51 or KMC Z50 are both 6-Speed. They are available and they are both cheap. I bought the Shimano one for 9€.
