I forget the last time I saw one of your builds Carl. It must have been around 2013 but I see you've lost none of your wish to do justice to the build and bike. Well done sir.

Beautiful is that Carl, pretty much perfect!

Trying to remember what the starting point for this was? That rusted out old find?
Thank you Ed, and for the guidance and knowledge since being here, it isn't perfect by any means, this was the one I drove to Dorset for, which seemed like madness at the time. The only pics i have are at the beginning of the thread and alas the only ones I have.

What a great set of photos to round off the build in style. 🍊😎🍊👌🍊👏🍊
Thank you.

In my subconscious, i was clearly effected by the events of the time, Pre-Internet, and forever excited by the next instalment and monthly reviews and advertising found in the magazines of this new sport and race scene developing.

I hoped I wasn't the only one with such fond memories of the time, and that maybe others had similar experiences and memories.

The Overburys advert certainly resonated with me, it made me wonder what Oranges retort to the advert would have been.....

Id also love to know, had there been a retort from Orange, and if we were back there now, looking in a shop window at both bikes......?

What would everybodies choice have been.....?

I thought that was going to be gimmick and stupid but it makes the bike look better and with the back ground makes it look expensive good eye mate if you took pics the lighting everything
Thank you, just an I-Phone 17 and a couple of Bags of Oranges. ( although I did get a few amusing comments and looks buying 80 Oranges )

Your back In the late 80s, you've seen the Adverts for Both, with all things being as equal as possible, Which would you Choose....?
