All the local cats use our front garden as the neighbourhood hangout. A bit like Top Cat without Officer Dibble. Pesky things crap and piss everywhere. Why don't they crap in their own garden? We have one of those electronic PIR cat scare things that does seem to work but they have worked out how to go across the garden without setting it off. Nothing beats hearing a cat fight in the early morning hours, that and the drunken friday night agruments / lovers tiff / screach of tyres (look how poorly my tyres grip) boy racer show-offs.

Would you crap in your own garden?

I've got neighbours I'd like dump in the gardens of.

Do you feed it Wet or dry food ?

Both.

Cut out the wet food, if that does not make things better have a look out for a 'Wind' reducing DRY food, I think there is one from Royal Canin.

A trip to the vets for some Royal canin then. :D

How are you picking the cat up ?

The reason I ask, is if the cats belly is getting sqished as it is picked up, you could actually be forcing gas out of the cat.

But cats that fart are usually cats that take a lot of air in when they eat. they swallow food and pockets of air. My cat does it sometimes, but she is really enthusiastic when she eats, come to think of it, she eats like a dog, as if it is the last meal she is getting, but then, she is an ex feral cat.

My cat does not like getting picked up.

Honey, that's the cat, not a come on!! eats like a pig. She was a rescue and was left for a long time locked in a house. :x

I pick her up by her big fat saggy belly.

She loves being picked up and is the most affectionate cat I've ever met.

Same here. Only marks in the snow are bloody cat paw prints  This will all change when I finally weaken and get a dog because my dog will not like cats and will eat them.

I take it you've tried different brands of cat food? Some of the really cheap stuff can be bad for that but from the sound of it I doubt you're buying her that!

Our most recent cat was really smelly when we got her a year ago ("rescued" from a home where she was quite underfed and had to scavenge for food elsewhere.) Once she settled in (a few months maybe) the problem disappeared - she still goes at her food pretty enthusiastically but her digestive system seems to have stabilised now.

How long have you had her?

Hell no! she eats better than I do.

We've had her for over a year. I think she's just a smelly aresed cat! Her brother farts a b*****d too!!
