Nice, GT version too, such a shame it was lost. It feels like I'm back in Halfords in the late 80s!

I started with a Krakatoa, when that got nicked I insurance-upgraded to the Quattro2 - which I'm still riding now, all original (Mountain LX) components.

my riding started with Carrera....I worked part time in Halfords from 1990 and saved up to buy my first one, a Krakatoa (candy red, black forks). I then swapped it out for my mates Kathmandu (candy blue, black forks) but it got stolen, so with the insurance money I bought a shop-soiled Quattro Comp (smokey grey, just as in the earlier picture) with full XT.

Happy memories.....wouldn't mind reliving a bit of retro
