I know its not everyones cup of tea,but i picked this up on Thursday night,A well used bike but complete,right down to that gash saddle with the fake brass rivets,even though its been taped up lol.Deore XT everything,Even has middleburn rings on it.Came with spare tyres too,Joe Murray B drives,Panaracers and Tioga Farmer John Cousins and Nephews!!!Not sure what my plans are yet,Think its going to get a good clean up and will be used as a spare bike for trips to shops and work. For now it can join my other bikes in the garage.

I have really fond memories of those.

It was the first 'real' MTB that I owned. I saved up my money from working in a pub as a glass collector and wandered into Halfords with a big wedge of notes. I'm pretty sure that they retailed at £799 but I got mine in the sale for £499.

I had a white Mt Zefal pump that I customised with a smoke paintjob to match the frame of the bike.

Such great times.

Carreras bitd were a bit nice , paint jobs and lots of nice kit ,will look forward to the progress on this one
