Carrera pricing

Hi all, new to the forum so hopefully you can help me out.

I have had some what would now be retro bikes when I was younger. A Specialized Hardrock, a Marin Muirwoods and a custom GT framed homemade effort. I currently have a Carrera Kracken that is all done up but needs new cables and setting up again (its been hanging around for 5 years now). Its virtually like a freshly rebuilt bike all the original equipment was ditched and replaced with Shimano. Its only made up of relatively cheap parts but does ride well. What sort of value does something like this command? I know its not massively pricy and would have cost me more to build than worth but looking to sell to get a bike from my past or of the past that I used to dream of.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Also does anyone have a link to how to set up gears? Been so long I wouldn't have a clue!

Cheers for the video link I will set the bike up on a stand at some point and have a go at it.

I heard that because of the lockdown people are buying all sorts of equipment such as bikes to kill the time. I can lend anyone a 3 year old that could do that for free!!

Just looked on ebay this is virtually how the bike was when I got it. seller wants £225 minimum £200
