spudgun Senior Retro Guru Feedback View Jul 28, 2019 #1 Hi,can anybody date my bike from the frame number? Its a carlton cobra and the number is C265073.
Midlife Retro Wizard Jul 28, 2019 #2 "C" prefix is 1948-52, however I'd hazard a guess that it's the 1968-72 period where Carlton numbering went a bit pants Anything like the ones on this thread? https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/resto ... se.165609/

Midlife Retro Wizard Jul 28, 2019 #4 Does it have the more fancy Crespera lugs? Cobra was my first proper bike on the early 70's. Mine was red and chrome being 5 speed. Blue was usually 10 speed
