I would love to know the weight compared to spokes and nipple's.
When you add the alloy end section plus all the bolts together with the carbon, it may well not be any lighter than a standard wheel built with something like DT spokes.
Then you are back to why do it?
Looks to me like some kind of attention grabbing for a trade show maybe.
It's an interesting concept I guess, I could imagine it would sell at really top end to people who want a certain look and I almost wonder if it would something a car manufacturer would put on one of their "oh we do top end bikes too" types of ride. Porsche did an evolution bike, it had carbon 1 piece wheels though.
to add, rim brakes so pre 99 carbon, that's got to be pretty specific market as there wasn't much Carbon around then except really high end stuff.
