nice! :D

Looks like the pipe splits from the nearside, do the gasses come out pretty evenly? Always seems a bit Corsa when one pipe is doing all the work. In my opinion anyway.

Loud is good though, especially with the offbeat flat 4 throb.

Mine's a Leon TDi with straight through pipe from the turbo, no Cat, no silencers, nothing. Sounds like its blowing at idle, but is stupidly loud at full chat 8)

Thanks guys 8)

Agree that the Legacy is under rated, makes a nice change to the Impreza.

Yup, the 2.5 flat 4 sounds lovely. A real deep rumble.

The split is 50/50 to the rear boxes, just needed slight re-routing due to the larger diameter pipework.

They are pretty common over here. Just be careful you haven't sacrificed power and torque though just for a bit of noise.

yeah agree about the pipe thing....

I've got a bmw r1100s and the pipe comes into one box, and there is a u pipe to link to the second, so one does something like 75% of the gas the other only does 25%......

and I always think.....why not just have one box.... it's nothing like a 916 anyway  it's a german thing maybe :?

but it sounds nice though! boxers always sound nice on noisy pipes!!

interestingly, like bikes, some cars seem to get away with noisy exhausts....

on bikes, harleys, guzzis, ducatis, etc (I suppose the twins really) seem to be acceptable with a bit more noise

and anything that isn't an inline 4 with a dump valve in a corsa   ... erm maybe not... but boxers always sound different enough to get away with it imho :?

(always wanted a legacy estate, not quite as in your face as a wrx, but still a nice car.....ended up with a shonky spanish golf  )

The impreza is a powerful car,i guess thats why the cops use them

Impreza is quick, without a doubt, but extremely common. Thats why I like the Legacy, very quick but discreet and quite rare.

As for shape, I think the older Imprezas are ok, like a car should look. Just dont get me started on the new shape..... :x

Quite agree pickle. The older impreza's were fantastic looking motors. The newer ones not so good.

What they all have in common is they're so much more in your face though in comparison to the likes of the legacy.

It's like a chick in a short skirt and low top giving it all that on a dance floor and the quiet one sitting at the side. 9 times out of ten the quiet one is the go-er 8)
