Car dilema- Pics up on P3

If you keep it you could always say you sold it to a local, and then when you do decide to sell it properly you can say "readvertised due to a timewaster" :)

Since finishing the Alfa I've had so many requests to do similar projects but I just can't cope.

Just say no. Or say yes, to start in 2014. You can only do what you can do :)

If you aren't going to lose money and you'd enjoy the project, then i'd say go for it.

I prefer the lines of the later 105 series cars. I have a friend who owns one the best GT juniors I've ever seen. It is one of those cars that I could just look at for hours on end.

10 grand at the moment for a well sorted Bertie is under valued by at least a couple of thousand, I think.

I would stick with your car, although I know the burning desire for a Stepfront. Another mate has just bought back the very car he owned in the mid seventies and is cockerhoop!! Then again he sold an average Monty to buy it and still had change. It's a funny old world.

why can't you have both again?

Thought it was 1985 for a minute.

What the hell do I know, I have VW's!!

I had also forgoten which car he was talking about and thought it was a standard Bertie. Sorry Dr S for any harm caused.

Yes. Just to put things in perspective, a very good 2000GTV is worth around £10-12k, the very best are doing £15,000. I offered mine at £25,000.
On the other hand; Alfaholics are doing new build GTA replicas at £68,000 plus VAT. They have orders for 6-7 cars at the moment. Those replicas are identical to mine apart from they use a Twin Spark engine. Genuine GTAs are anything between £90-150,000 now.

The big problem is that if I get out now, with the way prices are rising I won't be able to afford another in five years time.

Remember early 911's? 10 years ago you could buy a mint pre 74 S for £15-20k. The same cars are now £75-90k.

id keep yours matey, if will only go up, and i reckon that guy would let you hold onto the other?

could you get rid of the jenson?

isnt the step front in the same value range as the 'bertie'? (i have no idea what im talking about)

maybe pics would help
