nah, no pierced seat tube, dropouts are wrong.

*Edit: Hugely nostalgic going through the catalogs though!

Al Carter  Bound to be outta Taiwan circa 1990-92?

Slap some Zinn decals on FTW (the win being upsetting pompous illuminati)

Re: Car Boot sale purchase mish mash ID

It has Carrera written all over it to me. Its either a 93 94 model Krakatoa or Katmandu. 501 magnum main frame. A good score especially with the Spinner P2 fork and bits.

Re: Car Boot sale purchase mish mash ID

Think pierced milled / cast (rear) canti hanger is the key and wrong for Carrera (and no brazed rack mounts).

Frame also looks too well made, think maybe Japanese from rack mounts?

Early 90's frame (91? from serial) but later forks?

LGF you have an eye for a (bargain) bike (again!)

Carreras certainly had the same rears, sharing the same as Saracen. dependant on year it either had a clamp on seat clamp or not. some came with rear rack mounts some didn't, dependant on batch. Also some had tange tubing some had a modicum of Reynolds, dependant on model year and model, of which I cant be sure without it in hand.

of course it could be anything, its best guess from me.

Re: Car Boot sale purchase mish mash ID

Carrera Epileptic it is then - I have had a few of these pop through over the years, thumbies and DX seem to fit

- Should I be badging up as a Saracen?
