Car Batteries

Re:

Most decent scrap yards keeps stock of a few used car batteries, when I need one I just go down there and pick the best one available - they test them for me and usually charge £10. Quick overnight charge at home and bob's yer uncle.

I always aim to pick Bosch silvers, which are excellent.

You lucky bugger Joe .

My local scrappy is about 3 mile down the road so not really handy if i need a battery plus he can't be bothered with checking batteries and i don't own a charger  ..

Hmm! i wonder if the wife will like a car battery charger for her birthday next month  ..

Re:

Eurocarparts have 30% off this weekend, glad I didn't order it yesterday!, so ordered it today to collect tomorrow. Halfords for £157 or Eurocarparts for a Bosch Silver for £73. Very happy about that!

Eurocarparts is a godsend, if you are careful and check twice before ordering.

If you check the terminal positions, and measure your hole properly, you can often stick a larger capacity battery in for only a few quid more too!

As pointed out, with 30% off codes and such, on top of a discounted item, you can often get a great deal.
