Erm.. so with the exception of the cable routing looking a bit odd..whats the drama if you do run 'em with the front on the right hand side with a std noodle? *whistles* (We're talking XTRM900 levers and calipers here)..

No drama, but it will look even worse.

With a 135° noodle, it still looks somewhat ok because the outer cable can make one gentle turn.
With a standard noodle I can imagine that it either makes a very sharp turn at the top or makes 2 turns

Either way, it just looks better with the front on the left. Just learn to ride with the brakes the proper way around, like every other country in the world has them. :P

Of course it looks odd to you, but to us over here it all looks perfectly normal ;)

Cantilevers vs V brakes?
V brakes are good, but I run in problem with them. When I have to take out off frame or rather place wheel back into frame, I must either deflate tyre, so I can put mine 1.9 Ritchey Speedmax back and then inflate. Or take one arm of the brake out, wheel into frame and brake arm back.

Today I tried mine LX cantilevers with pair of XT M system longer pads.
It was no problem lock front wheel (not speaking rear) on any surface I rode.
I like cantilevers better. :)
