Can't seem to get my retro mojo going

Because of my recent move to the states it's seen me laid up a bit and on here too often

Normally I'm like a ferret up a drain pipe, looking...and looking..and looking for that unique or bargainous item to then post it in here in the hope it maybe something other retrobikers may have been looking for

but the last couple of weeks I can't seem to get my groove on and appear to be losing interest...I know we all sometimes have a blank spot and I think this is just mine or it maybe I'm losing interest full stop.

so I think I'll take a few weeks away from the site to see wether it's a temporary thing or wether the move to the states has somewhat killed the fun I've had here.

see ya in a few weeks :D

See you in a while!

Hvae you had other things that have had priority of interest since moving and everything being 'new'?

I'd have thought that being in the states would see you like a kid in a candy shop with all that yankee retro stuff that is so scarce over here.

Perhaps just some time to adjust, and to get your head around craigslist.

Get out and enjoy the Black Hills scenery. I've been to SD a few times (passed through Sturgis but never stopped there). Crazy Horse monument is awesome, as are the Badlands, and Wounded Knee was a must for me. We had a brilliant day in Mystic where an 85 year old showed us around his gold mine that he still works with a pick & shovel.

Don't give up on the bikes, just Take a break to re-charge your batteries.

I lost my retro mojo too, I find the newer bikes in my collection more interesting TBH.

I'm looking at something nice and old too though.

Lost mine for a bit due to a death in the immediate family :( but i keep looking at my Tazmon and its just the shock i need to sort before servicing the fork and the disc brakes.
I know im conning myself and could easily start with those jobs but.....

I lost mine through long illness and have recently returned I feel that I have missed a lot people have left and new have begun but in the end I have felt that I'm still part of the site

Me too. I suspect because it's all been done and what's left is warmed-over or groundhog day.

Trouble is, I can't think of anywhere better to go. ????

In all fairness, I'm struggling a bit too.

Whenever I ride my older bikes, my back starts to hurt badly.
Not only does that affect the fun I have when riding them, it also has an effect on my interest in them and keeps me from properly starting the build of my ultimate dream bike.

Ironically, my modern racks up the miles without ever causing me any back pain, and the same goes for that ugly Trek.
I just might be forced to turn my Sbikes into garage queens, or sell them and get something less hardcore.

I really like that Laïti and it looks a lot more relaxing, so I might get me one. Then again, I like the Whyte PRST-4 too. So there's hope for me still. I just have to make up my mind.
