Cannondale questions... Magura and Wolber ?

Just picked it up, so it's looking a bit tatty, but I reckon it's got potential for a commuter, dirt cheap too!

Any info appreciated.

Cheers,

It's a big old 21 inch frame (probably a bit too bit for me) and the geezer said he'd had it 15 years. I think from the catalogues it looks like a '93. The brakes are not original, but I think every thing else is. LX front, cranks, hubs, XTR rear, coda bars, madison (?) seatpost, Viscount saddle, Wolber AT400 rims.

I used to build the Wolbers quite a bit BITD. slightly cheaper than Mavic's at the time.

From memory the AT400 was a lighter version of the venerable AT-18 and AT-20 rims

very similar strength wise to mavic 231's, but slightly easier to dent.

it al ended when Mavic bought Wolber and closed em down :(

Boothy, those rims are Alloy, i think the sticker means they are as light as Titanium! (Very mis-leading!). I've got one on an old LX hub on my Cannondale, and it's beat to sh......

I had a set of AT18 rims laced to XTII hubs from 1990. I can say they were the best wheels and rims I have had. I dread to think how many miles those wheels did, many thousands I'm sure.
