I think the cable routing along the toptube is wrong for an early cannondale, they either hed the grey plastic cable guides or they were mounted on at the 11 o'clock position, that pic looks like they are down around the 5 o'clock position :?
I would be more confident if I could make out the rear dropout more clearly.

well if the mountain LX was contemporary to the frame, would suggest 89 ish, cant of been too many people making mega oversize aluminium frames with steel forks at that time, again could be a frankenstein, the chainset lookes more modern, but again quality kit, like the bike was cared for at one time
