Why not just start the auction at the reserve price and let it start there?

Starting at 99p with a reserve price set much higher is a waste of time IMO and I think ebay charge for the reserve price feature.

If you want £150 for it then start the auction at that, one bid and its sold rather than seven bids just to find out what the reserve is (or isnt).
