The BIN dissappers once bidding begins.

If someone starts at 99p with a BIN and you don't think it'll go that high but you want to try and win it, stick the quid bid it to remove the BIN.

I'd use a BIN if I listed my item starting at 80-90% of what I actually wanted for it. If someone used the BIN I'd be happy with what I wanted. If someone started bidding and it didn't go up all the way I haven't lost out much. If someone starts bidding and it goes up above the BIN, happy days.
