Just got back from riding the new Follow the Dog combined with The Monkey Trail.

Chase Trails have done a brilliant job. While obviously a man made trail it still has some great single track through the trees, the climbs are a killer on the Monkey Trail but the downhills are worth it, muchas fun. Smooth flowing berms that just throw you into the next one. Lots of new bumps n jumps too. The new final section of Follow The Dog flows quickly and leaves a smile. Some great views too.

13 miles in total.

When we have the Turkey Twizzler meets at Cannock I always enjoy the trails there. The surface is unique, pebbles pressed into the mud. The singletrack is challenging but great fun too.

Not busy at all really, we were surprised. We rode out about 3:30, the car parks were packed but I think everyone had been round by then and were chilling around the Giant cycles and ChaseTrails roadshows.

T'was fabulous indeed.

It's turned the route into a real day out now i think ... and looks like it is the work of some serious trailbuilders, rather than (if i may say without sounding offensive) some very gifted amateurs.

Just hope that some of the terrain survives the masses as after only 2 days, there's evidence of some damage from serious braking.

Fab though - if you get the chance, take it and visit ... better than anything i've yet to experience in Wales.

Thumbs up to the folk at Chase Trails i say ...

I went along on Sunday morning. I was riding by about 10am and it wasn't too busy, although I left around 12:30pm and there was a queue to get into the car park!

I did a lap of the Monkey Trail, stopped for wine gums and finished with a lap of Follow the Dog...and I was knackered. Top trails, thoroughly enjoyed it, and hoping to return on Tuesday if I can sneak out of work at 3pm...
