Up until now the weather here has been very cooperative. It is going to change before too long. Studded tires are standing by. This year I'll be trying the Continental Top Contact Winter II as an interim tire.
After 17 years of riding in Winnipeg Winters, I don't really want to do it any more. Not having a car for over 20 years I may be faced with buying one. Too bad. They do nothing but take money out of your pocket. It's a balance, trading cost for convenience. Driving the roads have changed now too due to the radical alteration in demographics here. I'd still ride from time to time in the winter if I did buy a motor car, just to stay in some sort of physical riding shape. When Spring finally shows up after a Winter of riding, I seriously want a break. Unfortunately, that break never happens.
If you ride in the harsh cold of a Canadian Winter, salute yourself.
