you may struggle to get anyone to work on that, purely because it is aluminium, most frame builders work in steel. the other issue is that any welder you may find may not be able to get a usable seat tube assuming it can be repaired.

curious though, is this not the pace frame that comes with a carbon seat tube?

what happened to the seat tube anyway?

the last of the Pace welders emigrated to Australia several years ago, if memory serves they were only just breaking even on frames so when he left that's when they decided to stop making them and concentrate on forks etc, then came the far eastern made frames, as a result at best they may beable to recommend someone.

Hmm..makes a change from the split head tubes. :D

I'm probably who LGF hinted at...happy to have a look. PM if you're interested.

A 31.8/27.2mm round 7005 seat tube's easy enough to get hold of (Columbus Zonal or Altec).
RC100 style square with machining would be a PITA and not really original, just about possible via Fairing Tube in USA/Taiwan, though.
The anodising around weld areas would have to be removed, and probably need to disassemble the seat/seatstay joint and rebuild with the fresh tube and the original top clamping section.
Post-weld heat treatment...debatable, but probably preferred given Pace's record on cracks etc.

All the best,
