Can you identify this vintage Raleigh?

Hi, I've owned this vintage Raleigh for a couple of years now and I have no idea of its model or origin.

I converted it from rod brakes to cables because I couldn't get any decent rod brake rims!

Can anyone enlighten me?

Re:

If you have the original hub gear it will have a date code on it. Looks about 1960 to me. Raleigh made the same frame in 2 sizes from 1938 till Nottingham was closed, abot 40 years. The Rudge Humber and triumph variants had different pattern forks. Without counting, perhaps 25 million of these.
The rod brake parts might sell well in the US.

Yep, the 1970's incarnation of that Raleigh was the wayfarer...........best seller was probably the blue one:)

Thanks for the input folks. I think you are right, in that it's a 60s Wayfarer, unfortunately I don't have the original Sturmey Archer hub to date it with. It's more the unusual paint job that I have no info on, any thoughts?

........worked on a lot of Wayfarers BITD, the only white bits I remember were the last 8 inches or so of the rear mudguard to above the rear reflector. Raleigh never did anything that would have cost them any more money LOL

Re:

Both Raleigh and Hercules did this sort of finish in the late 1950s.
Trying to attract younger purchasers as the commuter market was rapidly dying.
