Update:
Changed the tyres for some older (better) spesh fatboys.
Then remembered i had some stuff in a box that I'm selling on ebay: XT M737 mechs and a front brake. Put them on the bike and cut some black cables.
Voila!
When i shift on the rear it seems to index through 1 and a half gears at a time. So it goes through all six speeds in four clicks. I think i need to try it with a chain on to be sure.
