Looking at the adjusters on the top. :?

yes hence the dating in my post. although the adjusters are not the big give away (the gold stanchion is) as later years had similar adjusters just a different colour and for the diameter of the steel tubes internally.

Good a guess as any, shame the main detail of the seattube area is cover.
They tended to have Struts on them that year, but MAGs where an option. (825 I assume) and they didn't make an XTR version as far as I know. BUT given it's a new picture I assume, I doubt much of it will have remained ?

Cable routing is wrong for a Parkpre

Mine first guess was Sunn with one of their chromed frames,but tubes should be skinnyer in that case.
Can anyone identify rider? Then asking him what bike it was.
