Hi All

Good ole' Ebay comes through again

I was sold these as 9 speed fitted them never used them decided to 'flatbar' the bike so came to sell them, had a quick look on VeloBase and found to my surprise that they seem to be Record 8 speed units  glad I never tried using them in anger

The left lever has a scuff on the front and the hoods have seen better days but are still there

Re: Campagnolo Record Ergo 8 Speed

i would like to buy them please,m have you had them working? are they left double ?

Re:

The left one has 8 clicks, a ratchet mech without indexing. Will work with either triple or double...

Re: Campagnolo Record Ergo 8 Speed

the left one has 8 clicks ?? i want to know if they have been fitted and working as they should. personally i wouldnt sell any ergos or sti's unless i am certain they are ok
bought some sti's at a cycle jumble £60 then hit with £60 repair bill .

To seller...just stick in a set of inner cables to test them and get someone to hold the ends whilst operating levers....if dexterous then you can do it all at same time yourself.

Good Price if they work well btw

Re:

Hello everyone :D

After a day of following this on my phone at work I am finally home

Thanks kbmpi for reminding me they don't work like Shimano and they do have a range rather than just two or three stops so allowing for some adjustment of the front mech :D

Thanks Tarloonie, yes this is exactly what I do with all shifters when I get them, before even fitting them I fit a cable and stand on it to give tension then activate the levers, to check the mechanisms work fine and these pass muster. Also I did have them fitted on a bike and set up-ish to ride I knew there was a slight indexing 'issue' but as I now know this is due to them being 8 Speed and me running them on 9 speed as they were advertised as

I try to be as open as I can when selling as to avoid any nastiness later  :D

Hope this helps set your mind at ease oonaff :?: :D :D

Cheers

Mark :D
