Campagnolo gear lever identification?

Can anyone help identify exactly what I have here? I think I have a standard C-Record friction left lever, a C-Record retro-friction right lever, and an odd assortment of washers, bolts, etc. The right lever does have more marks and patina than the left, which makes me think they aren't originally from the same set. They were working fine as friction levers when I took them off a bike, but I have no need for them and need to know exactly what I have before I put them up for sale!

thanks!

Re:

My money's on "C-Record friction left lever, C-Record retro-friction right lever" as a matched set, as I believe that is how the set came, with the countering spring used on the rear mech only. Based only on my weak and feeble memory, more or less a copy of the Simplex retrofriction shifters mechanism which were retro friction left and right.

" C-Record retro-friction right lever" seems about right. See the Velobase page here :

http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx? ... p;AbsPos=6

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will find a photo of all the parts and descriptions on assembly. Sounds complicated ! In addition I am not sure you have all the components, in particular a ring with a couple of prongs on which fit the holes inside the lever.

I have not spent a lot of time on this so feel free to look at the other 44 Campag levers and find a better fit !

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the info. I have checked velobase, but as they're not always correct and I'm sure are missing a few components, I wasn't sure. There's no exploded diagram for the retro-friction left lever, and mine as a few different (and slightly fewer) parts than the first generation levers. My right one does appear to be a retro-friction lever, but missing a few parts. It was working fine as a standard friction lever anyway. Will have a look as I might have a few extra parts to add to these and make a complete set. These will be in the for sale section shortly, should anyone be interested
