I think they might be the same as the xenon/mirage plastic ones. Plenty of broken shifters on eBay.

These paddles are generally reliable but however, prone to failure if excessive friction exists in the cable path. Tired and eroded outer casings get incrementally stiffer over time resulting in ever increasing force being applied to shift resulting in fatigue of the resin part. You'd be best off with a box fresh replacement as any second hand ones could be a few clicks away from failure themselves I have NOS boxed part here for sale @ £29.00 inc. postage to UK, DM me if you'd like more info...
