I've had my Borghini sat in the Garage for a while now, not getting used & a few attempts to sell the bike complete, although generated interest didn't come off. So, have decided to keep the frame and sell the Groupset with a view to put a modern replacement on as & when I start racing again...
So, have for sale the 9spd Groupset that I have taken off. Follow the link for images, as I took about 50 shots of the parts today:

Groupset is pretty partial, as the hubs are on my training bike now & are staying there. Headset was never a Campagnolo when built and the Bottom Bracket is still in the frame as I need a Campag Spanner to remove the cups. I had Mavic Kysriums with a Mavic cassette for the compatibility, which I sold, however I do have a Chorus NOS which I'll include once I find it.
Therefore, parts to be included as are follows:
Chainset 170mm 39/59
Front Mech - Braze fitting, but mounted on a 31.9 Band Clamp.
Campagnolo 9spd Chain
Rear Mech - 9spd
Calipers - Short Reach
Ergo Shifters - with facility for ErgoBrain Computer, controlled from hood.
Bottom Bracket - Italian Threads I'd imagine, dimensions TBC
Cassette - Chorus 9spd (11/12-23)
Details as to condition. This is 9 years old. I have looked after this! It has been on my Race bike, which I raced for half a season in 2003. No Crashes, so no Major damage! After that year I only used it occasionally in the dry weather. Then from about 2007 never touched it, except to clean it of dust from being stored. Chainset is Lovely, plenty of wear remaining on rings, all Tapers & Threads Bang on. This is the first time since 2003, the chainset has been off. Some scratches on the left hand crank arm near the pedal threads as per images, but that's it. Logos all intact & nice & shiny. The Bottom Bracket does feel like it's spinning a touch dry and as I haven't removed it, do not know if it's bearing or sealed. Ergo levers work perfectly. Showing some patina on the shifter but I'm going to see if it may polish off. Looks worse than it is, but it is there. No tears or rips to the hoods. Front Mech Logo is a bit faint but a nice shiny example. Rear Mech in superb condition & jockey wheels have lots of life. Shifting both Front & Rear without any hitches & all positive, no signs of wear. Brake calipers are in Very Very good condition. Logos intact & what maybe the original pads? Have Lots of wear left. Only issue here is the tiny rubber grommet which sits inside the body wrapping the barrel adjuster thread has perished on both but am sure this will be easily replaced. I'd imagine you could do this easily with a non Campag specific rubber grommet from EBay or LBS.
This is a superb condition Groupset!! Nothing on EBay, except a few items that are highly priced. I would keep it and put on my Training bike but I can't use the Calipers & have mostly Campag on there anyhow. I have nothing else to fit for it, so up she goes.
Sensibly priced given its condition. £220
Now, given all the recent warnings of PP Gift due to that system getting spoilt, I will be prepared to use PP as normal. However this will accrue a 3.4% hike as per the fees it will incur. (Think I've got that right) I'm quite Happy to take Gift in the right context. Local collection is also welcomed. Cheques welcomed but will have to clear prior to posting. Bank Transfer, I'll need to check if any charges occur to me. The price will include Recorded delivery, signed for postage & insurance covering the value. Please PM if you have any further questions.
