I need to get a part for this derailleur but don't know what I'm looking for. Can anyone help?

You need the retainer bolt plus the multi-position adjuster - here's a link with a photo:

It's presumably the top pivot bolt you need but as they are different between makers and models we'll need to know what the derailleur is.

Nigel at campyolody.co.uk has them:

"The "signet ring" toothed insert that fits between upper body & dropout on Victory, Triomphe and early Athena rear mechs #7116067 £18.00"

but he is out of action at the moment. Search on that part # though. If it is Athena, it might not be worth it; you might be able to pick up one in poor condition on ebay... Failing that, just fashion one yourself out of some suitable material; it isn't doing much structurally.

Nigel has the hanger bolts too if you are also missing that.

It's a Victory S3. Trying to sell it on the bay, but don't know if it's really worth it without the part :roll:

And I do have the top bolt, I just want the other part if anyone has one

Go for it. It appears to me that "vintage" sweepings from the Vicenza holy place would fetch a good price on ebay... As I said, if I had lost the piece I would just make a new one. It was always a silly system and bound to end this way.

It was something I bought on ebay and it was there in the first place. I dont have the means to make one otherwise I would

I have the same mech with the missing insert.Nigels "Campyoldy"advice was to sell it for spares as he has only ever seen two I think of the inserts as spares.Good luck and if you find two please let me know.jm.
