Campag bits.

Hi all,

I am a newby to this site and have some old campag bits I'm interested in selling. Any info on them and guide prices for what I should expect to get for them would be appreciated. The bikes will be broken into components.

Thanks in advance.

I will post a link to the album in a minute as I need to make one post before I can add links!

Nice stuff Matt - but I'm not going to even begin to guess at prices!

But I'll give you a fiver for the lot

Is the Ken Bird TT frame for sale?

I will be selling the frames. I have an ex TT Bird rider who wants to have a look, he thinks it should be in a museum!!

As for everything else my local Campag guru is going to take a look and give me some ideas. Looking at various websites I will gauge what they are asking then undercut them by enough to make it appealing.

Thanks for the £5 offer btw!!

I would ride it! I only ride Old Skool retro in TT's these days. Gives me an excuse - sorry, reason - for going slow

How about £6 instead?

i LOVE that mega drilled seatpost -
it's hilarious to think that the weight saving is probably
NEGATED by the TURBULENCE inside the post!!!

I'm assured this is the way things were done!!

It is a nice piece of kit. Apparently Ken Bird loved his drilled items on his team bikes, hence the drilled chainrings and lightened frame, etc.

I am interested in the double super record chainset on the red ken bird when you come up with a price, maybe the BB too...

Thanks.

I had a drilled seatpost like that.......Drillium LOL

Even Alf Engers realised that it wasn't very aero and by the late 70's they were milling out the internal surface and cutting the end off :)

I'll keep an eye on the sale as it's my era :D
