My mum has asked me to look into "dash cams" for her trike. One front and one rear. She is fed up of lousy drivers so wants a way to report them. I have no idea about this type of camera... So, any suggestions for something easy to use and compatible with android phones? Economical too! Thanks

No-one using a sensibly priced camera on their bike? Front and rear, doesn't need to have a million features, just record and be easy to use!

My mate uses the Australian branded fr & rear combo (goes off to google brand) .........Cycliq
Seem pretty good, but not cheap. If there is a simple dual ended, cheap helmet mounted cam I'd go with that.
Number 1 priority has to be decent, useable footage otherwise there's just no point in bothering.

I bought a techalogic; a budget option which is a combination front light and camera. Image is ok if you just want to use as equivalent to dash cam. Battery lasts a good 5-6 hours as long as you don't run the light. It does have charging on the go but I wouldn't risk doing so whilst raining.

Sound is useless with road noise and vibration so I just disabled the microphone.

Companion app is a bit clumsy but you can at least use phone as view screen and download footage wirelessly. They also sell a dual front and rear cam that's marketed towards equestrians but If you're happy with a helmet cam it could be worth looking in to.

I’ve been using a 360 cam mounted to the bars and it’s been brilliant for capturing more dynamic footage without needing to think about framing mid-ride. I grabbed one from insta360.com, and the quality is surprisingly decent for something so compact. Makes editing fun too since you can choose your angle later. Ideal if you don’t want to mess about adjusting cams all the time.
