...errr that's Samu , Kai et al, or indeed anyone else that's been there.

We had a fantastic family holiday in Ruka last Feb and I fancy going back, but Yllas looks good also. Have any of you been to Yllas and what do you think of the area from a skiing, facilities, atmosphere point of view? ...and no Kai I don't need to be dancing on tables at 2 am though my 4 yr old daughter and 7 yr old son might be up for it.

Where would you go & why?

Hello,

Ylläs is my favorite place. Been there many times.
It´s more place for familys than Ruka. I think Ruka is kind of "party place" and Ylläs is more place for relaxing.
Dont get this wrong, there is also places where you can go on the table...

Ylläs has longest slopes and also much more cross country routes.

Only problem is that area is also larger than Ruka. So there is small distances between different places.
