Calling all Manitou 4 experts...

Just go myself a pair of Manitou 4's. They look to be in very good condition (on the outside) but they have very little travel :? Any ideas as to what might be wrong before I pull them to bits :?:

I had a pair bitd & even when brand new they didn't give much travel but, these are even stiffer than I remember :?

Also, they came with a bag of spare elastomers. Does anyone know what the different colours mean? ie are red softer then blue etc :?

strip em , probs full of old grease and all sorts of shit , once clean should be fine

green = cold weather kit (medium) , brown = extra firm , yellow = firm , red = medium , blue = soft

I have a manual somewhere, when I find it I will scan it in for people.

I still have a pair, they are dead simple to service. I think you can get 64mm out of them.
