I want to run V´s on my steel kona 1995. It doesnt have the rear cable stop. Any ideas on how to do it, if i dont want full length wire tubes. Kona dog collar seems very hard to find.

Slightly drill out the brake-side of the current cable guide the same diameter as whatever cable ferrule you would use???
Think I did that once :D

If you don't get anywhere drop me a PM & I'll have a rummage for something which might work (if memory serves)

here is how I did mine on my 1994 Cindercone (sold on sadly) http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... able+guide

All you need is a cable guide from a shimano mech and you are away 8)

I did a very similar thing to mine, but had a few cheapy brake barrel adjusters lying around, i had to increase the hole size a bit, but luckily had the drill bits and tap to hand, and all loks very professional, the above was inspirational for me ot do mine, as i didnt want any odd looking addion to my frame.

Lux,

Before you get your drill out...

I've some Tektro clamp-on top tube cable stops. Silver anodised with 28.6 or 31.8mm internal bore. Yours for a karma if you're interested.

Otherwise, I do have a matt silver Kona Dog Collar available, £10 seems to be the going rate. It's in the shed, I'll get the diameter tonight, 30.0mm for steel?

8) That was also my main concern along with wanting to put it back to canti's without any frustration :D

BTW, Mech cable guides are M5 same as the allen bolt in the original guide.
