I’ve found that I needed some form of cable on either side of the head tube to balance out the tension on the steering. It may be small but definitely noticeable. Rear brake definitely in the left routing coming from the left of the head tube.
I wouldn’t worry about using a ferrule on the small connection of brake routing at the seat tube. There’s going to be no movement in the bosses and as long as the gear outer you are using doesn’t drag (brake cables are often thicker than gear cables) it will be fine.
For the gears I would try out the front mech on the outer right and rear in the middle. From the photos, it looks like it would give a less tight arc for the front outer coming across from the shifter.
Often with frames designed for the US style rear brake on the right, the routing will be a compromise.
