cable cutters help.

hello. can anyone offer any advice as to cable cutters that work. i have had two up to now. they were off ebay and not very expensive, so getting all the ''you pay for what you get'' saying out of the way which i know are quite correct (in my case anyway) . has anyone got a pair that work on both inner and outer cables. please share the make . many thanks..dave.

ive had my homebase ones for a few years now and theyre still good!
they came as a pack of 2 or 3 i think, pliers/cutters and cutters (and another?). blue and black handles
great present in hindsight

You can't beat a Dremel with a cutting disc for cable outers. Gorgeous neat finish and doesn't crimp the inside so you get fuss free shifting.

You can cut the inners with a dremmel as well,just out some insulating tape around it before you cut it......I have used a hammer and chisel before now though

I got a pair from halfords ......... i thought that they
wouldnt last ..........but that was about ten years ago !!
they cut inners and outers no probs and less than £20 : )

I don't have a dremmel.. But a angle grinder works just as well.

I have used garden secs before now.

how do you sharpen cutters?
surely the cutting edge gets further away?? :?
